Srima:n Trust Prize Distribution Function - Grand Success

JUBILATION DOUBLED!

The prize distribution function for the Sri Ramayana Competition 2008 and anniversary of Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham were conducted on 17th January 2009 in a grand way.

 

The function started as scheduled when Srimadh Paramahamsedhyadhi Sri Renganarayana Jeeyar Swami was welcomed with Poorna Kumba Mariyadhai at 5 pm and led to the function hall with reverence.  Sri B. Pattabiraman, Chairman, G. B. Industries, Resurgent Group was the chief guest. 

 

After the reception, the Jeeyar Swami who is the first ever blesser and well-wisher of Srimaan Trust and its founder made a pictorial speech on the Trust's incessant service to the society for many years. Swami's speech served as an annual report covering all the activities of Srimaan Trust and blessed the trust to undertake more activities and development in the future.

 

Sri. B. Pattabiraman, the Chief Guest made an impressive speech.  He remarked it as a strange experience as he had been a veteran industrialist. But the chief guest could not conceal his very good spiritual knowledge.

 

The programs performed by the students of SBK and SBG were superb and professional.  A Hari Kadha – Lava Kusa was staged by jut 5 year old kids with very impressive, sweet voice and gestures. Thirumangai Azhwar drama bound the spectators for more than an hour with curiosity and happiness. Nama Ramayanam a dance program with the entire Sri Ramayanam in ten minutes was performed by 7 girl students with colorful costumes and sparkling jewels. The dance fetched the applause of the audience for a long time.

 

A Sanskrit drama by SBG students explained a theme from Sri Ramayanam.

 

Hundreds of prizes including Gold and Silver coins were distributed to the students of Sri Ramayana competition.  All students who appeared for the competition were issued a certificate. The SBK students also were awarded with a number of prizes. Awards and mementos were gifted to schools for best performance, cooperation and participation.

With vote of thanks the 4 hour jubilation come to an end leaving the sweet memories of the day.
